What I consider to be art in photography spans a broad spectrum. And if any of what I produce can be termed art, it only represents a small portion of what I would like to do in this field.

If I were a full-time avant-garde artist, I would have published my politically radical and startlingly stated manifesto here. However, I am not. Art is an elusive subject; it can appear at the most unexpected times, and I strive to keep aware so that I do not miss such occurrences.

This section of my website showcases instances where a “regular” task (hmmm, what’s regular?) yields something incredibly intriguing, at least in my opinion. I also display my personal work here, as well as series designed for sale as prints.

For me, art, whether it’s a book, a movie, a painting, or a photograph, conveys a notion, a message, or even a question. Yes, there may be more than one idea in a work of art or something that is “just beautiful,” but if it causes you to return to it in your thoughts at least once, I believe I have succeeded in connecting you with my vision.
