We’ve already introduced you to our lead photographer and sometimes videographer, Ivan Djikaev, an internationally published and award-winning photographer. His wife Julia is the one who keeps Mind On Photography running; while Ivan works largely “in the field,” Julia handles all office work, with the exception of editing images and movies. When you fill out a form on our website, she reviews it first and responds to you.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is very simple: We aim to take your breath away!
Not only will you get gorgeous photographs, but you will also find the entire procedure simple and enjoyable.
OUR LOCATION
We are based in Boston and Cape Cod, yet we are not a “local business” with a Main Street studio; in fact, we do not even have one. We operate on-site, drive anywhere, fly internationally for destination weddings, and can rent a studio almost anyplace.
We do not charge an additional fee for driving between New York City and Portland, Maine for weddings, engagements, or corporate events.
We normally do professional headshots in our clients’ offices in the Greater Boston area.
Our client’s needs are diverse, and we meet those needs by providing a wide variety of photography services.
Whether it’s a professional who is looking to update a LinkedIn profile, a couple seeking a fun and romantic engagement or wedding photoshoot, or a family looking for a refined group portrait, our images are consistently artistic, stylish, and suited to your individual needs.
And for families, high school seniors, and graduations, this is practically the definition of location photography.

FEES
We are a studio with a set rate. There are no further sales calls pressuring you into purchasing an additional photographic package, and no purchase-decision meeting, which can easily turn a simple family photoshoot into a $5,000 investment in photography products.
As a final work result, you will always receive edited, high-resolution files with no watermarks, as well as printing rights.
WHO IS OUR IDEAL CLIENT?
Anyone looking for something exceptional. You don’t have to be a supermodel to have your photos look amazing. You do, however, require an excellent photographer. Someone who will recognize and highlight your best elegance, brightness, and flair in every photograph.
Professional models make up only a small percentage of the men, women, and children who come to us for photo shoots. In fact, most of our clients are truly camera shy. It is our goal to ensure that you enjoy the shoot and leave feeling inspired.
OUR PHOTOS
Perhaps after viewing our portfolios, you will think, “This isn’t me; I just need a basic photo. I don’t need anything this fancy.” However, in the modern world, just a simple picture is insufficient to make an impression that lasts. You should expect more from your photos.
Ivan and Julia, married for over 30 years (brides, having a photographer like this is such a wonderful juju!), have two kids and are hosting two Ukrainian boys since the beginning of the war in Ukraine 🇺🇦
