Although you’ve already met our lead photographer (and occasional videographer), Ivan Djikaev—an internationally published, award-winning artist. Behind the scenes, his wife Julia ensures everything at Mind On Photography runs smoothly. While Ivan is often out in the field, Julia oversees all office operations. When you fill out a form on our website, Julia is the first to review it, and rest assured, you’ll always hear back from one of us personally—no bots, no automated responses, just real, thoughtful communication.
We are based in Boston and Cape Cod, but we’re not a typical “local business” with a Main Street studio. Instead, we work on-site and are always ready to travel—whether it’s a short drive to nearby cities or an international flight for a destination wedding.
We also don’t charge extra for travel between New York City and Portland, Maine for weddings, engagements, or corporate events. Moreover, for professional headshots, we come to our clients’ offices in the Greater Boston area, offering both convenience and top-quality service.

Although we sometimes work with professional models and actors, the vast majority of our clients are camera shy and convinced that they are “not photogenic”. We certainly work to change that!
